Healthy Teeth for Life
Good oral health can add 10 years to your life. We want to make sure we do what is right to maintain healthy teeth. It is perhaps necessary to visit a cosmetic dentist to correct aesthetic problems with your teeth, or most of the time you simply need to brush and floss daily and maintain regular visits to the dentist every six months.
If you are nervous about visiting the dentist, don’t be. This guide will explain what to expect when you have a regular check-up at the dentist’s office. If you have any further questions, you can contact our Indiana family dentistry office for additional information.
The Dentist Appointment
When you visit our Noblesville family dentistry, you will check in with the receptionist. He or she will give you forms to fill out. We will need your medical history and the name of your physician. It is important for us to know about your health and medical history.
Most dentists accept some form of insurance. If you do not have insurance, Deldar Dental also accepts other payment options including credit card or cash. In addition, we offer 3, 6 and 12 months financing with no interest. There is also an extended payment plan up to 60 months.
Names of emergency contacts
Dentist appointments are safe. But sometimes issues arise and emergencies happen. It is important to have the name and phone number of someone you trust in case of an unexpected issue or incident.
After you have filled out the form, you will be ready to see Dr. Deldar.
The Dental Examination
Pre-Clinical Welcome Meeting
You will be greeted by Dr. Deldar. This allows Dr. Deldar and you to discuss any concerns with your oral health.
Examination of the head, neck, and mouth
Dr. Deldar will check your face and neck to make sure there are no abnormalities such as oral cancer, overly dry lips or odd swollen areas. He will also check the lymph nodes in your neck for any unusual swelling. Next, Dr. Deldar will check your teeth, gums, and mouth for any sign of disease or cavities. If there are any issues, he will discuss all the treatment options available to you.
Dr. Deldar will remove tartar and plaque build-up near the gum line using special instruments. This will help prevent many dental issues such as cavities and gum disease.
Although X-rays are not taken at every visit, it is important to take them at least once a year. Dr. Deldar will take X-rays of your teeth and jaw to see if there are any issues or concerns. We utilize the digital X-rays for safety to you and the environment.
In order to maintain proper dental health, it is important to visit your dentist twice a year. Deldar Dental offers general family dentistry in Noblesville, Carmel, Fishers, Indianapolis, Lapel, Westfield, and surrounding areas.
