SPORTS GUARD Noblesville
With a sports mouth guard you're well protected
Annually, thousands of people lose teeth because of sports injuries
You’d be surprised just how important a properly aligned jaw is, how it can improve your endurance and your overall physical ability. A sports mouth guard helps you improve your during physical activity by combining neuromuscular dentistry and science.
They are developed as a dental aid for athletes to give jaws their most optimal position by freeing them from stress. A sports guard allows you to have comfortable bite, an improved balance, and an increase in upper body strength.
More than just mouth guards
In addition to the neuromuscular dental applications, a sports mouth guard is not designed for just one athlete in mind. They can be worn on the upper or lower teeth, depending on the sport you play.
In addition to athletes who traditionally wear mouth guards (e.g. football, hockey and soccer players), there are numerous of other athletes who are reaping the benefits of them. To name a few, baseball players, marathoners, and strength trainers have found that by wearing an athletic mouth guard, there is an increase in agility, balance, and strength in their performance.
Symptoms such as headaches, neck and shoulder pain, jaw pain, and ringing in the ears can occur during a jaw misalignment. Athletic mouth guards look at the way your jaw, teeth and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) work together through their position in the mouth.
When your lower jaw is misaligned, there is added stress and strain put on the muscles of your face, neck and jaw. Your shoulders and upper back muscles are also negatively affected. In turn, this affects your posture. When your jaw is lined up the way it should be, your muscles and your spine are relaxed. This improves upper body strength, balance, and flexibility.
